Image cropper

Crop a rectangular part of a PNG, JPEG or WebP image locally.

JavaScript is required to run the interactive tool. Open the tool separately if it does not load in the frame.

How to use it

Choose an image, enter the top-left X and Y coordinates and crop width and height, then choose the output format.

Example

A 1000 × 800 image cropped at X=100, Y=50 to 200 × 150 produces a 200 × 150 image.

Frequently asked question

Does the crop preserve metadata?

No. Canvas export re-encodes pixels and does not preserve original metadata.

Limits and privacy

Images are limited to 20 MB and 40 million decoded pixels. Crop coordinates must fit inside the image. JPEG output fills transparent pixels white.

Tool input is processed in a separate browser environment without advertising or analytics scripts. This page does not upload it to the service.
